This picture of Decatur is of a original copy. The younger version, picture is of a drawning. Decatur fought in the Civil War, his headstone is engraved "CO., D, 8th Calvary, Estill Co., Ky., Vol. The 8th Calvary Took Mount Chattanooga, Tennessee and the troops who by fighting a lot of guerilla type warfar ran Col. John Hunt Morgan, "Morgan's Raiders" out of Kentucky, but not before he destroyed a lot of courthouse and their contents.
