Pleasant is the son of Elisha Hinkle & Jimima "Meadows" Hinkle. Grandson of James Madison & Delia "Diley" Davis Hinkle & Great Grandson of William Hinkle & Susannah Treadway and Great Great Grandson of Michael "Micha" Jr. Hinkle & Nancy Haggins and 3rd Great Grandson of Michael "Micha" Sr. & Rebecca Spurgin and 4th Great Anthony Jacob II &Anna Margaret Whitthaus and 5th Great Grandson of Rev. Anthony Jacob & Marie Elizabeth Dentzer. Pleasant was born December 23, 1877 in Whitley County, Kentucky, died June 22, 1945 in Whitley County, Kentucky. Pleasant married Mary Sue Steely, Mary born June 26, 1873 in Whitley County, Kentucky and died no death date and no death date engraved on headstone. Both Pleasant and Mary are laid to rest at The Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Whitley County, Kentucky. Pleasant and Sue's children Cora have no birth or death date,Daniel March 19, 1900 in Whitley Co.,Kentucky,Died March 12, 1991 in Whitley Co., Kentucky. Married a Mary ?, Mary born October 19, 1903, died October 9, 1988 in Whitley Co., Kentucky both are laid to rest at The Piney Grove Baptist Cemetery in Whitley Co., Kentucky. Charlie, Sye born 1904, died February 17, 1935, laid to rest at the Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. William N."Dock" born May 22, 1906 in Whitley Co., Kentucky, died July 5, 1950 in Whitley Co., Kentucky, laid to rest at The Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Vasco born May 1, 1909 in Whitley Co., Kentucky, died March 8, 1969 in a Kentucky Prison {murdered neice's husband} Inez born? and Curtis born 1913 in Whitley County., Kentucky and died February 2, 1945 in Whitley County, Kentucky and is laid to rest in The Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetry. Lonnie born April 23, 1918 in Whitley Co., Kentucky and died January 1, 1949 in Whitley County Kentucky and is laid to rest at The Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Whitley Co., Kentucky. Pleasant and his 2 sons Lonnie & Sye had been drinking on the day of February 17, 1935, when a fight broke out inbetween Lonnie and Sye. Lonnie ran and got a shot gun and shot and killed his brother Sye right in front of their father Pleasant. Lonnie took the life of his 15 year old brother. When the sheriff came everyone lied to keep Lonnie from going to prison. Lonnie never ever got charged with the murder of his brother Sye. But 10 years later Lonnie was found with a hachet buried in his head, while is was sleeping some one killed him. No one was ever found for the murder of Lonnie. Vasco died of tuberculosis while serving a prison sentence in the murder of his neice's {Cora's daughter} husband death {knifed to death}.Picture taken 1918 to 1920.
