Anthony was born August 15, 1869 in Knox County,Kentucky, died November 2, 1912 in Whitley County, Williamsburg,Kentucky. Anthony is the son of Henry & Nancy "Edwards" Hinkle.

Many researchers could not find Anthony's father, many have in their records that Anthony was born out of wedlock, but through research found that Anthony was born before after the death of his father Henry Hinkle, death was in 1869. Grandson of William Hinkle & Susannah Treadway & Great Grandson of Michael Hinkle Sr. & Rebecca "Spurgin" Hinkle & GG GRandson of Anthony Jacob II & Anna Margaret Whitthaus and GGG Grandson of Rev. Anthony Jacob Hinkle & Marie Elizabeth "Dentzer" Hinkle.

On July 15, 1888 in Campbell County, Tennessee Anthony married Deborah "Debbie" Jones daughter of Moses Bennette Jones & Margaret "Meadows" Jones and granddaughter of Simon Peter Jones & Seletor "Creekmore" Jones. Deborah was born November 27, 1874 in Whitley County,Kentucky, died November 1, 1957 in Whitley County, Williamsburg,Kentucky.
