From Schaumburg-Lippe (and surrounding Villages) to Southwestern Illinois!

In researching the Wehling family who were from the above region I found  that there were a number of other persons who also settled in this part of Illinois.

I have listed some of the names of those persons that made the journey.

It was about this time of the year in August 2009 that I lost my vision which ended my genealogical research.  During the previous years  I was assisted and I assisted many others  in this country and in  Europe  in researching our families. Although I still maintain my membership in various genealogical organizations  I am no longer active.  From earlier writings I  tend to belive that the Wehlings may have originated in the Scandinavian countries and perhaps migrated  through Denmark and then into Germany settling in the Schaumburg-Lippe area.
