HUSBAND NOTES: Obituary, November 23, 1972: Oscar V. Marshall Oscar V. Marshall, 72, of 1439 Locust Street, Jersey Shore, died early this morning, Monday, Nov. 23, 1970, in the Jersey Shore Hospital. He was born in Piatt Twp., Lycoming County, June 1, 1898, a son of John F. and Cora Bardo Marshall. He retired in 1961 as a conductor for the former New York Central Railroad. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Jersey Shore. He also was a member of the Independant Order of Odd Fellows, Lodge No. 101, and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge of Jersey Shore. Surviving are his wife, the former Minnie Dutton; five daughters, [Living], [Living], Mrs. Bertha Mayes, Lock Haven, Mrs. Ruth Stone, Jersey Shore, and [Living]; three brothers, Charles, of Sussex, N.J., LeRoy, of Jersey Shore, RD 3, and Kenneth, of Williamsport; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Runner, Oaklyn, N.J.; 21 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Marshall JERSEY SHORE - Mrs. Minnie L. Marshall, 93, a lifelong borough resident, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 1990, in Leader Nursing Center, where she lived since 1984. Her husband Oscar V. Marshall died in 1970. Mrs. Marshall was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Born in Jersey Shore on Sept. 7, 1897, she was a daughter of William and Annie Lucas Dutton. Surviving are five daughters, [Living], [Living], Mrs. Bertha Mayes, of Lock Haven RD 1, Mrs. Ruth Phillips, of Montoursville RD 2, and [Living]; a sister, Mrs. Martha Kline, of Bellefonte RD 3, 21 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. A private family funeral will be Friday in he church, 229 South Broad Street, with the Rev. Donald G. Nice, her pastor officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Jersey Shore Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Rearick-Carpenter's, 1002 Allegheny Street.
