4 Levi W. Goodiell died on 4 May 1941 at Savitandrewd, New Brunswick, Canada, at age 69; The death of Levi W. Goodeill, who was chief of police of St. George for 19 years, occurred at his home in St. Andrews recently and has occasioned regret among a host of friends throughout Charlotte County. he was in his 69th year and had been ill since December.
Born in Lake utopia, he was a son of the late Joseph and Eliza (Hamilton) Goodeill.
After serving as St. George police chief, Mr. Goodeill was warden at St. Andrews for 12 years and later served as a deputy sheriff of Charlotte county.
Twice married, he is survived by his second wife, formerly Miss Jane Murray, of St. George. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Percy Spinney, St. George, and three sons, Otty E., Pocologan, Austin, Lake Utopia, and Stanley, Peterboro, Ont., by his first wife and a daughter, Annie, at home, and two sons, Joseph, serving with the R. C. A. F. at Moncton and George, St. Thomas College, Chatham, by his second wife.
The funeral was held at 2 P.M. for the Baptist church at St. Andrews, to St. George, where interment was made in the family lot.
