Lorow Family Home Page

This is the home page of the Lorow family descended from John Lorow, born about 1807 in Pennsylvania. John Lorow had 9 children (Henry, Aaron, Thomas, Sarah Jane (Kellison), Elizabeth Ann (Guinnip Shinebarger Bush Harter), David, Mary Margaret (Buss), William, and John P.). In approximately 1851, John's son Henry relocated from Columbia County, PA to Steuben County, NY. About 1853, John, his wife Mary, and the rest of his family except for Thomas and Mary Margaret followed. Thomas remained in Columbia County, PA, where he lived out his life. Mary Margaret married, then settled in Michigan via Ohio. There are many Lorow's that are not yet in this family tree, but I hope to be able to add them in the near future once I receive the information. I have found several variations in the spelling of Lorow, also as Lorrow, Larrow, and Loral.

Note: Burrell Peter Lorow is a son of James Henry Lorow, son of Aaron Lorow. Harriet Jane (Nephew) Lorow is his wife, and the others are their children.

Addie May (Amidon) Lorow (1863-1933) was the wife of James Henry Lorow. The following link is the homepage of the Amidon family, which has origins to Roger Amidowne, a Huguenot from France, of whom records exist showing him to be in Rehobeth, Massachusetts in 1637.
