Education

Lisa attended the public schools in Webster, Massachusetts. She graduated with the National Honor Society at Bartlett High School in Webster. Lisa was a member of the ski club, Spanish club, Secretary of the science Club, and a member of several other school activity groups. In elementary school, she sang with the school choir, later finding her niche as an actress in several high school productions, including playing the role of Vera Charles in the Bartlett High Mega Musical production of "Mame," which was two years in the making. In her senior year, Lisa was chosen as the photography editor for her high school yearbook, which was designed and executed entirely by the student body. Lisa attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst as an electrical engineering major, until she made a difficult choice to return home to assist her family during crisis. Lisa later took psychology courses at Worcester State College.
Work History

As a young teen, Lisa worked as a photographer and reporter for the Patriot Newspaper in Webster, Massachusetts. She later worked as a health club trainer and learned the fine art of waitressing, before becoming manager of Olympia Sports Center in Auburn, MA. Lisa began an 8 year career at Commerce Insurance Company as a filing clerk. She was soon promoted to department Supervisor, before accepting a promotion to the "dreaded" Collections Department, where she worked as a Collections Specialist. In 1996, Lisa left work to become a full time Mom to her son, Jesse.
Career Achievements

As a file clerk at Commerce Insurance, Lisa organized and headed a specialized Search Team for locating crucial missing files. The search project not only supplied critical evidence in several legal cases, but proved beneficial to company managers who required lost files to effectively settle insurance claims. The project remains an integral part of the company, and has been used as a model for search teams in other large companies.
Community Involvement

As a teenager, Lisa spent several years as an improvisational actress and mime (Oh No - not a mime!), with the community youth troupe, Plagiarism Incorporated. The troupe performed at hospitals, colleges, and nursing homes throughout the community. After graduating high school, Lisa spent 5 years as a volunteer firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician with the Community Fire Department in North Grosvenordale, Connecticut, before moving back to Massachusetts in 1987. During her time at Commerce Insurance, Lisa was a fundraising coordinator for the United Way, and volunteered as a greeter at Bethel Lutheran Church in Auburn, MA.
Interests and Hobbies

Lisa is a devout "Star Trek-The Next Generation" fan. Lisa has attended trekkie conventions all over New England, once winning a trivia contest on-stage at a Boston, MA convention. Lisa's impeccable knowledge of completely useless Star Trek trivia is a great source of pride! Lisa enjoys reading an odd combination of Shakespeare and Poe classics, Stephen King novels, the poetry of Robert Frost, and an occasional trashy Harlequin Romance. Lisa enjoys flower gardening, most all types of music, and has always been captivated by the sea. Lisa has been a passionate amateur genealogist for four years.
