At the time of his death he was living at Mount Royal Parkville, and he was a fitter. He died from heart failure over 3 days. He had suffered from myocarditis for some months, arteriosclerosis for some years, paraplegia for some years and peri-urethral abscess and urinary fistula for 2 years. His parents were Henry Palmer Marr and Mary Reeves. The informant was A K Lewis, Authorized Agent, Johnston St Fitzroy. The undertaker was H K Lewis. The witnesses to his burial were P L Lester and M Goldsworthy.

The were married by William Pembroke Bainbridge, a Minister of the Church of England, with the written consent of Harry Docwra father of Edith Meriden Docwra. The witnesses were Harry Docwra and H P Marr. .
