Edith's father Harry gave his written consent to the marriage, as she was a minor. Harry was one of the witnesses, and Wilfred's father Henry Palmer Marr was the other witness.

His funeral was held at the Lewis Parlor at 134 Johnston St, Fitzroy, and the witnesses at his burial were P. L. Lester and M. Goldsworthy.
