Obituary Sophia Rehling Ellinghausen Ellinghausen Rites Are Held Funeral services for Mrs. Sophie Ellinghausen, 85, who passed away Tuesday, were held yesterday afternoon at 2:30 in the chapel of the Shannon Funeral Home. Reverend H. H. Weichmann of Olive and Reverend W.D. Uhlig officiated at the rites. Vocalists were Mr. J. Reed and Mrs. G. Cudworth who sang two duets, "Rock of Ages" and "Asleep In Jesus", accompanied at the organ by A. W. Schmid. Interment was in St. John’s New Lutheran cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Walter Lieffers, Charlie Fields, Fred Klaner, August Mathes, George Heineman and August Heineman. Mrs. Ellinghausen, a resident of California, and Orange for the past 14 years, lived at Route 1, Box 880, on North Tustin Avenue. Surviving are two daughters, Misses Gesiene Ellinghausen and Ella Ellinghausen of Olive; two sons, John and August Ellinghausen of Olive; two sisters, Mrs. Hermine Munderloh of Orange and Mrs. Gesiene Heineman of Olive; a brother, Fred Rehling, of Orange; two grandchildren, one great grandchild; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Anna Rehling of Idaho; and other relatives. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Mrs. Sophia Ellinghausen Passes Away Mrs. Sophie Ellinghausen, 85, a resident of California and Orange for 14 years, passed away yesterday at the Santa Ana Community hospital. Mrs. Ellinghausen, who was a native of Oldenburg, Germany, resided at Rt. 1, Box 880, Orange, on North Tustin Avenue. Surviving are two daughters, Misses Gesiene Elinghausen and Ella Ellinghausen of Olive; two sons, John and August Ellinghausen of Olive; two sisters, Mrs. Hermine Munderloh of Orange and Mrs. Gesiene Heineman of Olive; a brother, Fred Rehling of Orange; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Anna Rehling of Idaho; and other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:20 p.m. in the chapel of the Shannon Funeral home. Rev. H.H. Wiechmann of Olive will officiate and interment will be in St. John’s Lutheran cemetery.
