Note: "History of the First Church in Roxbury Mass by W.E. Thwing" page 47lists a Margery Hammond, a maide servant, came to Roxbury in 1632.Married John Ruggles."

"History of the First Church in Roxbury Mass" page 51 lists a JohnRuggles [this is John's uncle] as bap. in Nazing, March 25, 1593, came toRoxbury in 1635 with wife Barbara. ...Freeman April 18, 1637. ... DiedOct. 6, 1663.

In same reference, a Thomas Ruggles, came to Roxbury in 1637 with wifeMary (Curtis), from Nazing. Freeman May 22, 1639. Died Nov. 16, 1644(on page 54).

Same reference, page 59 states that John Ruggles, junior, farmer, b. inNazing, Eng., in 1625, came to Roxbury in 1635 with his uncle JohnRuggles. Freeman May 3, 1654. m. Abigail Crafts. Sergeant of themilitary company. Buried Sept. 15, 1658.

In the book "The Planters of the Commonwealth", page 159, lists John, 44shoemaker of Nazing, county Essex, Barbara 30, John 10 (nephew), John 2as sailing on the HOPEWELL of London, William Bundock, Master. Shesailed early in April from London and arrived at Boston in June.
