Notes for Peter Thomas, Sr.:
"Peter Thomas, our immigrant ancestor, is believed to have been born in Willistown Twp. ? ,
Wales about 1661and come to Radnor, Chester Co, PA around 1683. He married Sarah
Stedman, daughter of Elizabeth, in 1686 according to Quaker custom. The Thomases and the
families of those they married were faithful members of the Society of Friends or Quakers. "

"Peter Thomas came aboard the Providence out of Scarborough, England, settling in Springtown
(now known as Springfield), Chester County, PA." However, he came from Wales. Had 4
children, all born at Willistown, PA.
This data is also written in the "Fraizer Larger Family Book compiled by Walter H. Stewart of
the Fraizer Line. He is listed in this book as PETER THOMAS.
Death date taken from Stewart's "Fraizer Book" -- Quaker date: 4th month, 15th day 1722 = June
15, 1722 on our calendar. Died presumably at the home on Crum Creek. (This data taken from
the Society of Friends Records at Chester Co., Historical Society, West Chester, PA)

home of John Simcock in Ridley Township, Delaware County, PA. Four known children: Peter
Thomas Jr. is one of these four.
