MARRIAGE-CONFLICT: 26 Nov 1623 per H8790; 23 Jun 1620 per Myers. Also IGI SP to date 23 Jun 1620, England.

Probably the John Whitcombe that married Ann Harper, daughter of JohnHarper of London. Anne had 4 siblings, but by the time John died, onlydaughter Anne and son John were still alive.

"Visitations of London", published in 1880 states that there were livingin 1634 John Harper, gentleman and his sister Anne Harper, the lattermarried to John Whitcombe gentleman, of London, and having children;Thomas, John, Robert, and five daughters, and that the three sons wereliving in 1634.

June 16, 1620; John Harper gave John Whitcombe who married his daughterAnne, a share in Virginia (synonymous with America).

Jonathan m. 25 Nov 1667 at Lancaster, MA Hanna Lewis who was killed by Native Americans 18 July 1692. Children (from Internet corespondent, not proven): Hanna (17 Sept 1668), Jonathan, Abigail (5 May 1674), Elizabeth (1676, Lancaster, MA), Catherine, Ruth (1680), Mary (1682) and John (12 May 1684).
From Marianne: Hannah was killed by indians while at the house of Peter Joslin inLancaster, MA.

Another correspondent gives her surname as White. Was she married before? Marianne also has her as White, not Lewis.

There was a Hannah, dau. of Charles & Susanna White, b. Feb. 3, 1727/8 inCharlestown, Suffolk, MA.
