Text: Funeral services for Charles G. Smead, 73, of 641 Fifth street, a retired grocery clerk who died at 4:30 a. m. Thursday at the Methodist hospital after a four-month illness, will be conducted at 10 a. m. Saturday at the Klaehn & Sons funeral home. Rev. Paul Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove cemetery. Mr. Smead is survived by the wife, Lottie; five daughters, Mrs. Gladys Boyer of Coldwater, Mich., Mrs Beulah Sampson, Mrs Jeannette walda, Mrs Ethel Householder and Miss Mildred Smead, this city; three sons, Clifford, Charles, and Robert, all of this city; 20 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three brothers, Joseph of this city, William of Quincy, Mich., and Harry of Detroit
