4 Oct 1823, p 122: Appointed Bro. Thomas Hatfield (son of William) to visit Bro. Thomas Hatfield (son of Levin) for his non-attendance for a length of time.

Trying to ascertain if this is the same person as Thomas Hatfield b 1791 m Elizabeth Archer.
Elizabeth's father, Benjamin Archer was prominent in the First Baptist Church of Centerville. Several son's of William Hatfield b 1733 who migrated from DE to Centerville appear to have joined this church:

4 Jul 1801 William Hatfield by experience
1804 Levin and Wheatley Hatfield are referenced.
Three Thomas Hatfield's were received into this church:
3 Jul 1802 Thomas Hatfield and wife Sarah received by letter
3 Aug 1816 Thomas Hatfield received by experience
Nov 1819 received John Allin and Thomas Hatfield by experience.
It is probably Thomas rec'd in 1816 is Thomas Hatfield b 1791, as he married Elizabeth Archer, and their first child was born in 1818.
What are the rules for receiving adult children who may have grown up in the Baptist church?
Thomas Hatfield b 1791 in IN was active in the Presbyterian Church, and later the Baptist church, to which he became the preacher in his later years of life.

10 Feb 1821 - A matter concerning the family of the late William Hatfield's children. Owen frequently enquired after the children
Records a disturbance between Jonathan and John Bowin. Mr. Bowen had promised Jonathan a horse, bridle and saddle if he would work with him till he came of age (21). When the time came, Mr. Bowen reniged on the promise, instead challenging Jonathan to take the law into his own hands. It is also noted Mr. Bowin whipped the children with a cowskin whip. John Bowen was excused from the church for his behavior.
