Notes for EDITH AMELIA FENN:
Edith was left in charge of the family when she was in about the 8th grade.
Her sister Mildred was brain damaged (read developmentally disabled) from measles encephalitis, and had received no training. She was apparently ungovernable, and an embarrassment to a sensitive sister, who wished to fit in.
Clifford died fairly young, of cancer. He lived in Alaska, and I had little chance to talk to him. Edith did not talk to me about her past. I think she left home ASAP also. Her husband Tom Seslar died early of Tuberculosis. He was sick a long time, so she raised the family of three wild boys alone, working in a bakery.
