He immigrated w/his father & settled 1st at Rumney Marsh (now Chelsea), removing Lancaster ~ the time of the outbreak of King Philip's War. Forced to move, they went to Sudbury & was given authority to receive an Indian child of 6 yrs.
After the war, he ret. to Lancaster. Prominent cit; m 22 Jan 1672, Mary, dau of Maj Simon Willard & his 3rd wife, Mary (Dunster) Willard, a relative of Pres. Dunster of Harvard College.
