"John wab born January 12, 1790 and was baptized three days later on the fifteenth in Hillsdale, N.Y. By 1807 he married Betsey Doty, daughter of William Doty and Phebe Rowley. He is called John in his father's will of May 4, 1837. John died April 23, 1863 at age 73 and is buried at Quaker Lake, Brackney, Pennsylvania.
