Louisa A. Wilber Minkler McClintick

Louisa was born Nov. 22, 1838 in Binghamton, Broome, New York to Elijah Welber and Maria Gage,
being the 2nd of 4 daughters. On May 1, 1859, at age 20, she married Calvin L. Minkler, and together
they had 6 children. They moved around to various states including Wisconsin, Pennsylvania,
Iowa, and finally Nebraska, where Calvin died in 1873, leaving Louisa with a baby and other young
children. Sometime later she married a widower, Hugh McClintick, and together they had 2 more
children, one who died in infancy. In 1898 at age 60, she became a widow for the second time.
At some point after this she moved from Cedar Rapids to California where she lived with her daughter
Eva's family in Long Beach. Louisa died July 21, 1921, at the age of 82, in Long Beach, California.
