He worked for Beaver Park water district for about 25 years and in Beaver Park
had apple and cherry orchards. Avery was a horse shoer and farmer as a young
man. He ran harness race horses with buggies or racing carts. He also ran
regular horse races in NE County Fairs. Always played Santa. Apparently had
diabetes. Moved to Penrose, CO Sep 23, 1943. Died of a stroke.
