Jim Hinton and his son, Avery, were harness race-horse men. Each fall for
many years they followed the race circuit which extended from Lexington, NE to
Holyoke, CO. Two well remembered sure winners were "Frank Halaway", a small
chestnut free-pacer and "Trixie", a big sorrel trotter. He homesteaded in NE
when he was 21 years. Died of diabetes. Information off tombstone.
