By 1870, Luke and Margaret's children started to marry and set up their own households. Mary moved to Cedar Springs, Kent Co., Michigan. The Michigan Census was enumerated 14 July. By 1900, the family had spread to several states. This is the last census to enumerate Margaret. The Michigan census was enumerated 5 June; Nebraska, 20 June; New York, 6 June; and Oklahoma, 21 June. Mary Mackey was living in Cedar Springs, Nelson Township, Kent Co., Michigan. James Teachman was in Richland Township, Saunders Co., Nebraska.
