I hope that everybody that stumbles across my website will find something to interest them. On the next page, you will find an index of surnames that I have included on this website. Some surnames are farther along in my research where others I have just barely begun working on. I will be adding alot more information as I go along. Please be sure to bookmark the site.
This site is a family collaberation. I would like to stress that this research is all still very much in the process of being verified. Do not take my word for any of it.....please do your own research!!!! I would love to share with others that may know more about my family than I do.
Please be sure to check out the documents page and the photos page. Please remember the pictures and documents are there for you, not commercial use.
I look forward to meeting new friends and hopefully alot more family.
Please email me with any questions or suggestions.
When you return to this site from time to time, please check out the page below. When I update different pages, I will also put an update on the What's New page. Any changes made will be listed there. I hope to be adding alot more information to this site.
(Dedicated to those who have gone before us)
Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh and blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own
Dear Ancestor... the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so
I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you.

A Genealogist's Prayer
Lord, help me dig into the past
And sift the sands of time
That I might find the roots that made
This family tree of mine.
Lord, help me trace the ancient roads
On which my fathers trod,
And led them through so many lands
To find our present sod.
Lord, help me find an ancient book
Or dusty manuscript,
That's safely hidden now away
In some forgotten crypt.
Lord, let it bridge the gap that haunts
My soul when I can't find,
The missing link between some name
That ends the same as mine.
