It is said that the first Lineberry to settle in America wasn't
originally a Lineberry. It is also rumored that the first Lineberry
was of German descent. In the many years I have been researching and
researching I have found more rumors then hard facts. It is thought
that we have Indian blood in our line and that we all originated
from North Carolina. One thing I do know is that many of the
Lineberry's to first take on the spelling and name did first appear
in the middle 1700's around the Randolph and Cheatham county lines
of North Carolina. Dedicated research from many genealogist have
stated that the oldest link found belongs to a Jacob Lineberry. From
my knowledge there is more speculation on who was who and what was
what during the period and times following this notorious "Jacob
Lineberry".
Unfortunately, as a genealogist we are unable to time travel, and
we are utterly doomed to "never really" know what really happen to
our kin. The journey we explore is the journey that will how open
the door to more question then answers but, as future detectives we
will be able to piece the puzzles together. Then and only then will
we be able to see a snapshot picture of our families over the year.
I invite you to explore endless theories and possibilities as I
attempt to find the truth.
