William Lindsay Sanders was born on Sept 26,1881 in Burnet, Texas. His parents were Henry L. Sanders & Mary "Mollie" Melvina Slaughter Sanders. His father died when he was about 14 years old.  He was only 19 years old when he married Ollie Mae Wells on Sept 13, 1901. When he was 28 years old in 1910 and he had 4 children and was working as a blacksmith. Later on he moved to Carter, Oklahoma where he was working for Loyal Oil Company.  He also registered up for World War I on Sept 12, 1918 in Carter, Oklahoma,  but he never served. His occupation later on was an oil broker and was told that's where he made most of his money.

Ollie Mae Wells was born on Feb 22,1886 in Brownwood, Texas. Her parents were George Washington Wells & Mary D Beal. Ollie Mae's mother died when she was 13 years old. When she was 15 years old she married William Lindsay Sanders on Sept. 13 1901.

William Lindsay and Ollie Mae  had twelve children
