Jacob Axer, the patriarch of this clan, is buried with his first wife, (as far as we can tell!), Clara Ward Axer, his daughter Catharine, and her husband John Andrew McGinnis. They are all buried in the historic Lancaster Cemetery, smack in the heart of the city of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This is an awesome cemetery, and well cared for. It is one of my favorites!
Although you can read Jacob's name, you cannot read much else.
Sarah's headstone is even harder to read ~ I know this is her's because I can make out the "Sarah" but not much else. . . . .and also because I found reference to it in the Cemetery records!
Catharine's headstone seems to have had something put on it right down the middle that has taken quite a bit of the stone away. I do know that it says:
