OBITUARY The many friends of Miss Elizabeth Breneman, who resided with her sister, Mrs. Aug. Rhoads at No. 128 East Walnut street, will be shocked, as well as grieved, to learn of her death which occurred very suddenly shortly after 2 o'clock this morning from congestion of the brain. She had not been ill, and Thursday evening attended a social gathering, returning home about 1 o'clock this morning. Immediately after entering the house she was taken ill, and about an hour later died, medical skill being unavailing.
Death Comes Suddenly to a Well-Known Lady After Returning From a Social Gathering
The deceased was born in Lancaster, being a daughter of the late A.N. and Marie De Weldon Breneman. There were few better known ladies in our city, and none more highly respected or more greatly beloved by her friends, who were legion in number. Miss Breneman is survived by two sisters, Mr. Aug. Rhoads and Mrs. H.R. Breneman, and a brother, Abram, residing near Mobile, Ala.
