Not too much is known of this family. What is known is that the patriarch of this family was George H. Auxer, and he was a Daguerreian in Chambersburg and Marietta, Pennsylvania, Belvediere, Hackettstown and HIghtstown, New Jersey. When and where he was born or died is unknown. His wife, Nancy, appears as a widow in Philadelphia in 1870 and then appears back in Chambersburg buried with her daughter! Their headstone can be found in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. Also buried in this plot are Mary's husband and his second wife, John and Susan Bowers.
If you have any information on this family, won't you please drop me a line? I am trying to figure out how this particular George Auxer fits into the Auxer clan!
