Anna E. Walter was the wife of Charles F. Auxer. Her obituary appeared in the Lancaster Daily Intelligencer Journal on Wednesday, January 27, 1937, as follows:
OBITUARY Mrs. Anna E. Auxer, seventy-eight, wife of Charles F. Auxer, died at 11:15 o'clock Tuesday morning at her home, 324 North Mary street, of a complication of diseases. She had been ailing for the past four months. She was born in Leacock township, a daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Dornes Walter, and has resided in Lancaster since her childhood. She was a member of St. Luke's Reformed church. Besides her husband, she is survived by the following children: Emma G., wife of Guy E. Eberly, this city; Blanche E., wife of Albert Marks, this city; a granddaughter, Helen B., wife of Rev. C. Harry Kehn, of Spring City; also the following sisters and brothers, Mrs. Charles Kautz, this city; Frank Walter, of Ephrata; Mrs. Harry Krentz, Mrs. Mary Miller and John Walter, all of this city; William Walter, Johnstown; and Charles Walter, of Baltimore.MRS. Services will be held at the parlors of Fred F. Groff, Inc., 234 West Orange street, on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Friends may call at Groff's on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.
