Andrew J. Axer, would have been my grandmother's fifth cousin! Their common ancestor was Christian Axer. He descended through Christopher Axer and our line was from Michael Auxer, Sr. The following obituary appeared in The Lancaster Daily Intelligencer, Lancaster, PA, on Monday, April 30, 1917:
DEATH OF INFANT
Andrew J., the five months old son of Claud(sic) and Ethel Axer, died at the home of its parents, 721 First street, from infant trouble. The funeral will be held from the late home tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
