This was my grandmother's third cousin. He was born July 31, 1925 and died on February 12, 1986 He is buried in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania in a most beautiful setting. His obituary appeared in The Patriot, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Friday, February 14, 1986:
DEATHS Arthur J. Auxer, Jr.
Arthur J. Auxer, Jr., 60, of 55 S. Houcks Road, Lower Paxton Twp., died Wednesday in Community General Osteopathic Hospital.
He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and the Bell Pioneers, a life member of VFW Post 272 and a retired employee of Bell of Pennsylvania.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Auxer; two sons, Arthur III of Harrisburg and Jeffrey L. of Shippensburg; his mother, Mrs. Lucinda Zimmerman of New Cumberland; a brother, William of Camp Hill; two sisters, Mrs. Doris Cressler of Enola and Mrs. Joy Ward of Shiremanstown; and a grandson.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Musselman Funeral Home, Lemoyne, with the Rev. Robert M. Vowler officiating. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
