Paul Vincent Carvell was the second child born to Grace and Alfred Carvell. He preceded his mother in death by over five years, although she is not mentioned in his obituary. The following obituary appeared in the Fargo Forum, Wednesday, March 9, 1979:
Paul V. CarvellThe funeral for Paul V. Carvell, 58, Wahpeton, N.D., will be Friday at 10 in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Fargo. A prayer service will be Thursday at 8:30 in Boulger Chapel. He died Monday. Mr. Carvell was born April 27, 1921 at Williston, N.D., and moved to Fargo, where he attended North Dakota State University. He served in the Navy during World War II. He married Catherine Schroeder, December 6, 1942 at Detroit Lakes, Minn., and after the war was a pharmacist there. They later moved to Choteau and Billings, Mont., and operated drugstores at Drayton, N.D., and Wahpeton. He is survived by his wife, a daughter and two sons, Mrs. David (Catherine) Hilden, Underwood, Minn.; Paul, 3162 9th St., N., and Peter, 1450 E. Gateway Circle, both of Fargo; two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Roger (Patricia) Maris, Gainesville, Fla.; Mrs. Walter (Mary Jo) Seeba, Hibbing, Minn.; Robert, Mott, N.D.; and James, Fountain Valley, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
