Lyddian was my great-great-grandfather's sister. She was married to Thomas Crosson in 1872 by Rev. Jeremiah Mark Carvell, Ph.D., (my g-g-grandfather) while he was on the Plainfield Circuit. Lyddian died March 2, 1911. Below are two of her obituaries.

From The Globe, Thompsontown, Pennsylvania, Thursday, March 9, 1911:Mrs. Lydia A. Crosson Dies at Granville Mrs. Lydia Ann Crosson, wife of Thomas Crosson of Granville, died this morning at one o'clock, aged 67 years and 23 days. During her lingering illness shw was a patient sufferer and was fully resigned to the will of her Heavenly Father. At her request her pastor, Rev. H.C. Burkholder, visited her and administered the Holy communion only a few days before her death.
Lydia Ann Carvell was married in 1872 to Thomas Crosson, who with the following children are living: Mrs. Minnie Dimm of Shamokin; Harry Crosson of McVeytown; Victor Crosson of Harrisburg; and Emory, charles and Thurman Crosson at home.
Two sisters and eight brothers are also living to mourn the loss of a loving sister. She was an affectionate wife, tender mother and kind and good neighbor.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 A.M. at the late residence of the deceased at Granville, Rev. H.C. Burkholder officiating. The body will be taken on the 12:07 train Friday noon at Granville and taken to Thompsontown and from thence to East Salem for interment.
A complication of diseases caused the death of Mrs. Thomas Crosson at her home in Granville, Mifflin county, last week. Her maiden name was Carvell and for many years she was a resident of Black Dog Valley, this county.The deceased, whose age was 66 years and 25 days, is survived by her husband, five sons, one daughter, two sisters and eight brothers.
The remains were brought to this place Friday afternoon and conveyed to East Salem, where interment was made, Rev. H.C. Burkholder of McVeytown, officiating.
