James L. Carvell

James L. Carvell was my grandmother's second cousin. He was the son of Cloyd Carvell, she was the grand-daughter of Jeremiah Mark Carvell. His obituary appeared in the Juniata Sentinel(Pennsylvania) on December 9, 1998 :

JAMES L. CARVELL

James L. Carvell, 70, of Baltimore, MD, died at 10:26 a.m. Monday, November 30, 1998, in Baltimore.
Born February 22, 1928 in Mifflin, He was a son of the late Cloyd E. and Rhetta S. (Fulkroad) Carvell.
Survivors include two brothers, William A. Carvell of Harrisburg and Richard L. Carvell of Chicago, IL; and two sisters, Ruth Hostler of Marysville adn Dorothy Scarlotta of Baltimore, MD.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles E. Carvell and Robert Carvell; and three sisters, Kathryn Taylor, Margaret Carvell and Rebecca Carvell.
A veteran of the United States Army, he served in World War II.
He was a retired forklift operator for US Gypson, Baltimore.
The funeral was held Friday December 4, at Guss Funeral Home, Mifflintown, with Rev. Douglas Compton officiating. Interment followed in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.

Baltimore, Md.-James L. Carvell, 70, of Baltimore, Md., died at 10:26 a.m., Monday, Nov. 30, 1998 in Baltimore.
Born Feb. 22, 1928, in Mifflin, he was the son of the late Cloyd E. and Rhetta (Fulkroad) Carvell.
Surviving are: brothers and sisters, William A. Carvell, Harrisburg, Richard L. Carvell, Chicago, Ill, Ruth Hostler, Marysville and Dorothy Scarlotta, Baltimore, MD.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Charles E. Carvell and Robert Carvell, and sisters Kathryn Taylor, Margaret Carvell and Rebecca Carvell.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II.
He was a retired forklift operator for US Gypson, Baltimore, Md.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Goss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Douglas Compton officiating. Interment will be in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
There will be no public viewing.
