We Have Something To Be Thankful for. . . .A Great Family

This picture was taken in September, 2000, just before we left California on our great move to Pennsylvania. (That's inaugural day for Dan and Paige's new spa!) We miss some things about California, and these six most of all. We really can't name too much else except for our terrific friends, and they're too many to name! We love Pennsylvania, especially the autumn! Did we make a mistake? I think NOT! We can always fly back to visit and let those Californian's pay those taxes, auto registration fees and escalated fuel charges!
When Michael was 2 to 3 years old, his favorite toys at our house were these Tonka trucks and spoons. Just before we moved, he asked if we still had them and wanted to see them one last time. Michael is 12 now, and this is the last time he played with them in Tehachapi. We moved them to Pennsylvania with us, and when he brings his son here, he'll have something to play with!
Hallie and I had a project this summer! We both painted furniture for my new sewing room, and coincidentally, Hallie's bedroom when she visits. I will stencil flowers on the table as soon as I get time! In the meantime, this picture of Hallie next to her handiwork is one I treasure. She did such a thorough job! Hallie is sitting on a stepladder that will be used for a plant stand on the porch. The table with her coke on it will sit next to the wicker chair in the sewing room.
