Cyrus Peter was the second child born of Joseph Britton Carvell's second marriage to Mary Hyle. He had one known child.
The following is his obituary from The Juniata Tribune, Mifflintown, September 20, 1928
Cyrus Peter Carvell, a highly respected citizen of Thompsontown, died at his home Sunday morning, September 16. He was aged 77 years 11 months and 13 days. Death was due to cancer of the stomach.He is survived by his wife and 1 son J. Edgar Carvell of Williamsport; also 3 brothers, William of McAllisterville, Elmer of Mifflin and Charles of Vicksburg, Michigan; and one sister Mrs. Phoebe Bolton of Harrisburg. Funeral services were held in the Lutheran Church of which he was a member, Tuesday, September 18, Rev. R.E. Bingaman, assisted by Rev. L.D.Wible, of Thompsontown and Rev. W.E. Brown, of Danville officiating. Internment was made in the Lutheran Cemetery.
