Clair J. Carvell was the youngest child of William and Elizabeth Swartz Carvell. He and his wife are buried in the Richfield Union Cemetery. A picture of their headstone is on my Headstones page. I had the opportunity to meet several of his descendents on a trip to Pennsylvania in September, 1997. It was they who took me on a tour of the Richfield area and subsequently to the Cemetery.
The following is his obituary. I obtained a copy of it from the Juniata Historical Society. I have no idea what paper it was taken from.
