She was born October 30, 1820 in Lincoln County, Ga, and died April 03, 1893 in Cass County, TX.

Henry Harvey Glaze moved with his wife and family to Longcane, Troup County, GA before 1840. He is listed on the Troup County census of 1840. The family moved to Texas in 1855. It is said that he traveled in a wagon train of about 40-45 wagons. He settled in Cass County, TX and owned 3 ge neral stores near Linden, TX. He was a Justice of the Peace in 1859 in Cass County, TX. There is a question as to the spelling of Henry's middle name. Some descendants say that it was Hervey, but the Glaze Family bible clearly shows Harvey. Thomas G. Glaze was named guardian for Henry Harvey March 6, 1826. He was listed as a minor child of David Glaze, Deceased.

John and Mary Burks GlazeJohn Randolph Glaze was born near La Grange, Troup County, GA Dec. 23, 184 3 and moved to Cobb County, GA in 1847. He resided on a farm near Marietta for 8 years. He moved to Texas with his family in 1855 and settled on a farm near what is now known as the Dennis Roads in Linden, Cass County, Texas. In 1861, at the age of 17 y ears enlisted in the Confederate service on May 27. He served in the Army of Northern Virginia until the fall of 1862 when he was discharged. It is said that the reason he was discharged was that an officer kicked his campfire on which he and another soldier were cooking their supper. Probably an accident, but Jack pulled his knife on the officer and tried to attack him. For that he was discharged and sent back to Texas. He married Mary Rebecca Burk on March 5, 1863. Reenlisted in the Confederate service and served until the close of the war, reaching home on the 2nd day of June 1865, coatless, barefooted and without a dollar, hungry and discouraged, but still possessing resolutions as big as a wool basket. It is said that he walked all the way f rom Virginia to Texas.
