WILLIAM C. CHURCHMAN, was born March 22, 1750/1751 in Pennsylvania.  He married MARY WILSON.  She was born in 1755 in Virginia.

The children of William and Mary Wilson Churchman:

1.  JOHN WESLEY CHURCHMAN, child of William and Mary Wilson Churchman, ws born between 1773 and 1774 in Virginia.  He married FRANCIS (last name unknown).   She was born in 1779 in North Carolina and she died after 1850 in Yell County, Arkansas.  John Wesley died after 1850 in Yell County, Arkansas.

The children of John and Francis Churchman:

a.   JAMES L. CHURCHMAN, first child of  John and Francis Churchman, was born in 1810 in Tennessee.  He married ABIGAIL COKER.  Born in 1819 in White River (now Marion County) County, Arkansas, she was the daughter of WILLIAM COKER and ELIZABETH HUDPATH.  She died about 1869 in Arkansas.  James died September 13, 1849 in Arkansas.

The children of James and Abigail Coker Churchman:

2a  MALINDA E. CHURCHMAN, second child of James and Abigail Coker Churchman, was born in 1844.  She married JOSEPH CARTER in 1861.  Born in 1839 in England, she died in 1863 in Missouri from a fever during a Military March.    He was a stowaway at the age of 16 on a ship to America. He is buried in a Military Cemetery near Springfield, Missouri.

 The children of Joseph and Malinda Churchman Carter:

e.   STEPHEN CHURCHMAN, fifth child of James and Abigail Coker Churchman, was born in 1823 in Tennessee.  He married PURETY EZELL.  Born in 1928 in Tennessee, she died in 1898 in Logan County, Arkansas.  Stephen died on April 3, 1864 in Darenelle, Arkansas.

The children of Stephen and Purety Ezell Churchman:

4a  FRANCIS B. CHURCHMAN, fourth child of Stephen and Purety Ezell Churchman, was born on February 18, 1852 in Arkansas.  She married John Meredith Gray on July 16, 1871 in Logan County, Arkansas.  Born January 20, 1852, he was the son of GARRETT GRAY and he died on February 16, 1914.  Francis died on April 15, 1929 in Shelby County, Texas.  Both are burid in Enterprise Cemetery, Shelby County, Texas.

7a  ELIZA ELLIOTT CHURCHMAN, seventh child of Stephen and Purety Ezell Churchman, was born on December 7, 1857.  She married SAMUEL ZADOCK LUMAN on December 28, 1879.  Born March 20, 1856 in Kentucky, he was the son of JAMES AND MARTHA BEAN LUMAN.  He died February 19, 1926 in Subiaco, Arkansas.  Eliza Elliott died on April 16, 1929 in Subiaco, Arkansas.  Both are buied in McKendrick Cemetery, Subiaco, Arkansas.
