12 noon until ANNUAL REUNION PICNIC
Family members are to gather at the Dimock Camp-Meeting Ground, about a half mile west of the blinker light in Dimock, Pa. Folks are to bring a couple of covered dishes to pass and a good appetite. The lunch meal will be served at noon. There will also be a hamburger and hotdog cookout around 5 p.m.
A business meeting, presided over by Dave Petty, will take place immediately after lunch. Please let the secretary know of any Marriages, Births and Deaths in the family before the meeting, and preferably before the day of the reunion (if you are unable to attend, please mail the information to the secreatry- Holly Singer, RR2, Box 160a, Montrose, PA 18801). Afterwards, we'll have some games for the young and young at heart, but we mostly want you to stay and visit with all your friends and relatives- who are descendants (or their friends) of Thomas and Abiah (Lane) Bagley!
We'll try to bring some order to the group for a group picture in the chapel at 3 p.m.
To celebrate God's graciousness for calling our family into existence, and also the unique fact that six descendants (and/or their spouses) of this couple are pastors in the Wyoming Conference of the United Methodist Church... and two in its Central Illinois Conference, we are working on a 3:30 p.m. informal worship service in the chapel. We are looking for persons musically gifted to help with the service, and also if there are other pastors serving other denominations who'd like to participate, please let Bob Baker know by July 23rd.
Remember that family members are to bring old photo albums showing past Reunions as well as one or two other items (such as a quilt, an old gas ration coupon, etc.) for sharing, and are asked to write up in less than 100 words what the item is and why it has had meaning for your/our family. These will be assembled in a family history book.
Hope to see all of you on August 22nd and/or 23rd!
