The 1880 census (included) shows John Hawn's widow, Adeline, raising David Riley Hawn.

It is believed that John's father was Henry.  This is circumstantial evidence based on the census records.  Henry was living on an adjoining farm as was Wesley Hawn.  The ages indicate that he was their father.  Wesley must have been a cousin to John because Wesley's father was born in Louisiana and Henry was born in S.
