Benjamin Clark was born in OH abt. 1803, and his wife Nancy was born in VA abt. 1810, according to the 1850 Macoupin Co. IL Census.
In all probability, Nancy's maiden name was Morris. On Dec. 24, 1828, a Benjamin Clark married Nancy Morris in Morgan Co., which is adjacent to
Macoupin Co. By 1860, Benjamin is apparently deceased, and his widow Nancy Clark is living in the home of two young Morrises, John and George, who are probably
her nephews.
