Elizabeth Berrier Marsh

Elizabeth Berrier appears in the 1850 Crawford Co. PA and 1860 Allamakee Co. IA Censuses in the home of her father John Berrier. Though single in 1860, it appears that Elizabeth married a widower named Sanford C. Marsh sometime in the 1860's. They are together in 1870, with Sanford's son (by first wife Lucinda), Marvin. This identification of Elizabeth Marsh as John Berrier's daughter is supported by her Makee Twp. Census entry in 1880: she is the right age, and her parents were born in the right places (Prussia and Ireland). Finally, the fact that Elizabeth Marsh is buried in the same site as "Marian" Berrier makes it certain that she is John & Mary Ann's daughter.
