Will of Daniel Boucher [member of House of Burgesses in 1653], dated 4 Dec., 1667; proved 1st May, 1668: Legacies to kinsman Robert Boucher, hodges Councill, William and Mary, children of William Hunt, Elizabeth Munger, dau. of John Munger, Elizabeth Davis, dau. of John Davis, dec'd. "Item I give to the poorest people in the parish to be distributed amongst them, such as my overseers hereafter mentioned shall think fitt. one oxe commonly called Brand, with a good loaf of bread to each of the poor people aforesaid." To dau. Elizabeth all my lands, and in case of her death before age or marriage, my land to my knosman Robert Boucher, and all the balance to the grandchildren of my wife Elizabeth Boucher equally. John Hardy and Thomas Taberer overseers; and to each of them 20 shillings.

William Mayo is granted 170 acres by lt. Gov. Francis Nicholson beginning at John Kings--to Gyles Lynscott, to John Lawrence, to Blackwater. 10 Oct. 1691. He assigns this land to Thomas Lewis, son of Richard lewis lately deceased, with consent of Isabella my wife. 9 Aug. 1693. Isabella Mayo makes her brother Hodges Council atty. to acknowledge deed. Teste, Henry (H B) Bradley, Hodges (. C.) Council.

Hodges Council made his will in Isle of Wight in 1699. He married Lucy, daughter of John Hardy, Justice of the County Court, about 1675. He was possibly a son of John Council who married, secondly, Mrs. Jeffries the relict of Richard Jeffries, in 1666. ... Hodges Council, in his will in 1699, mentions daughter Christian wife of Edward Bryan. ...
