Was born March 19, 1817 at Chateua-Richer, Qc. Married Ann, the daughter of the Honourable Anthony Manahan, M.P. and Sarah Phobe Nugent, on July 14, 1846 in Kingston, Ont. His niece Marie Louis mentions in her memoirs that her father's older brothers used to visit the Manor at Chateau-Richer during the summer season. In fact two of William's children (Mathilda and Robert) were born there. I dont't know much about him, but if you look at the dates of things you see he was married in Kingston in 1846 and had his first child their the year after. After that we see him back in Chateau Richer - Quebec City area where all his other children were born between 1849 and 1863. Died January 7, 1867 in Ottawa. His wife might have moved to Penetanguishene after that, the next time we see the family is in 1879-1902 where all of his living children are marrying and having children in Penetang, Ann Gertrude died there in 1906.
