I, John D. Leland, a resident of Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, over the age
of twenty - one years, being of sound mind and disposing memory, do make,
publish and declare this instrument as and for my last will and testament,
hereby revoking all other wills and testamentary dispositions heretofore
made by me.
Item One: I direct that all of my just debts, including the expense
of my last illness and funeral, shall be paid out of my estate, as soon
after my death as practicable.
Item Two: I do hereby give, devise and bequeath to my niece, Virginia
Leland Jones, one - fourth ( ¼ ) of my stock in Leland Apartments,
Inc.
Item Three: I do hereby give, devise and bequeath all the rest, residue
and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, to my beloved wife,
Lorraine Deal Leland, to be hers absolutely and in fee simple.
Item Four: I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint as Executors
of this my last will and testament my wife, Lorraine Deal Leland, George
A. LeMaistre and James F. Alston, Jr., and I direct that they shall serve
without bond and shall be exempted from making any accounting to any Court
for their acceptance hereof.
In Witness whereof, I, John D. Leland, have on this the 13th day
of February, 1956, signed, sealed, published and *direct the foregoing
instument as and for my last will and testament, in the presence of each
and all of the subscribing witnesses, each of whom I have requested in
the presence of each of the others to subscribed his name as an allisling*
witness in my presence and in the presence of the others.

I, Chester Walker, Judge of the Probate Court in and for Tuscaloosa County,
Alabama, hereby certify that the instument of writing hereto attached which
purports to be the Last Will and Testament of John D. Leland, deceased,
has on this the 30th day of November, 1956, been duly and legally proven
to be the true, genuine and legal Last Will and Testament of the said John
D. Leland, deceased; that the said will has been admitted to probate and
record in the said Probate Court of Tuscaloosa County, Alabama; and that
the said will and also the proof have been duly and legally recorded in
the Probate records of Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, in Book of Wills No.
16, on Page 142, et sig.

Present,
Hon. Chester Walker, Judge of Probate.
Before me, Chester Walker, Judge
of Probate, in and for said County, personally appeared in open Court Helen
L. Cannon who, having been by me first duly sworn and examined, did depose
and say on oath that she is a subscribing witness to the instrument of
writing now shown to her and which purports to be the last will and testament
of John D. Leland deceased, late an inhabitant of this County, that said
John D. Leland signed and executed said instument on the day the same bears
date, and declared the same to be his last will and testament, and that
affiant set her signature thereto on the day the same bears date as a subscribing
witness to the same in the presence of said John D. Leland, Mary Grey Cooper
and Leslie Dee, Jr., subscribing witnesses thereto and that such other
witnesses subscribed their names as a witness in her presence and in the
presence of said John D. Leland. Affiant and Mary Grey Cooper and
Leslie Dee, Jr. signed said will in the presence of each other and in the
presence of the testator.
That said John D. Leland was
of sound mind and disposing memory and in the opinion of the deponent fully
capable of making his will at the time the same was so made as aforesaid.
Affiant further states that said John D. Leland was on the day of the said
date of said will of the full age of twenty - one years and upwards.
