Store Man Dies When Hit with Gun
Ike Dotson Held For Murder After Lawrence LeFevers Dies From Wounds
Ike Dotson, resident of Molus, was being held
without bond today pending arraignment Friday on a charge of murder growing
out of the death of Lawrence LeFevers, 27, at Molus, Saturday night.
LeFevers, son of Mitt LeFevers and Mrs. W.H.
Collette, died a few minutes after he was alledgedly hit over the head
with a pistol butt by Dotson as a climax to a quarrel between the two men.
A warrant was signed immediately against Dotson by W.H. Collette.
The victim was well known in the Molus vicinity,
having been connected with a retail store there for some time. He is survived
by his parents, and three brothers, Elmer, George and Morris LeFevers.
He was a nephew of Mr. Morris Saylor of Harlan.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning
at 10:00 o'clock from the Loyall Methodist church, Ministers to assist
in the rites are the Rev. W.J. Holt, Harlan; the Rev. E.F. Burnside, the
Rev. Henry Hubbard of Bell County; the Rev. Platt of Loyall; and the Rev.
Wilson of Wallins.
