Mr. George Lefevers
Mr. George Lefevers, age 63, a life long resident of Bell County,
Ky., passed away Thursday, July 1, 1982 at the Pineville Community Hospital,
following a long illness.
He was born December 15, 1919 in Bell County, Ky., the son of
the late Mitt Lefevers and Emily Hoskins Lefevers. He believed in the Baptist
faith. He is survived by five children, John Michael Lefevers, Pineville,
Judy Lefevers, Pineville, Georgiana Miller, Louisville, Ky., Flora Zean
Mattingley, Louisville, Ky., and Wanda Faye Lefevers, Pineville; one brother,
Morris Lefevers Sr., Middlesboro, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Shawn, Kay,
Gail, Frazier, Ricky, Johanna, Will and John David.
Funeral services for Mr. Lefevers were held at 2 p.m. Sunday,
July 4, 1982 at the Durham Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Ray Collett,
Charles F. Jones and W.B. Bingham officiating. Burial followed in the Pineville
Memorial Cemetery. The pallbearers were his nephews, Donnie Bush, Pearl
Ray Lefevers, David Lefevers, Lawrence Wayne Lefevers, Morris Lefevers,
Jr., James S. Stewart, Jr., John E. Jones, and Conley Bingham.
