Lefevers, Owner of Jewelry Store Dies Thursday

     PINEVILLE -- Arthur Lefevers, owner and operator of Lefevers Jewelry Store, died Thursday, Aug. 3 at Pineville Community Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack. He was 58.
     Mr. Lefevers, who resided at Log Mountain, was a native of Bell County and the son of the late henry and Maggie Hawkins Lefevers.
     He operated his own jewelry store for several years and later become associated with the A. Rector Jewelry Store. Following Mr. Rector's death, Mr. Lefevers purchased the store.
     Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eula Lefevers; five sons, Franklin Lefevers, U.S. Air Force, Howard Lefevers, Johnson City, Tenn., Charles Ray Lefevers, Maryland, and Jerry Wayne and Arthur Lefevers Jr., Pineville; a daughter, Mrs. Irene Richmond, Pineville; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Payne, East Liverpool, Ohio; a half-brother, Luther Turner, Middlesboro, and seven grandchildren.
     Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Aug. 6 at the Durham Funeral home chapel with the Rev. Paul Gibson and the Rev. W.B. Bingham officiating. Burial was in Pineville Memorial Cemetery.
     Durham Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
